As the founder of WOHC, I hold an unshakable belief that a suicide-free world is possible. Every life is irreplaceable, every struggle deserves compassion, and every person deserves to be heard.

When we replace silence with conversation, stigma with understanding, and isolation with connection, hope becomes stronger than despair. Together, through empathy, education, and action, we can build a world where no one feels alone in their darkest moment.

“Saving lives is my calling, I dey for you!”

As a Co-Founder of WOHC, this mission is deeply personal to me. At the heart of our work is a commitment to mental health and to helping people navigate life's most difficult moments with dignity and support. Every day, I'm reminded that behind every statistic is a human being — a story, a family, a life that truly matters.

We started this organization because we believe that no one should face their struggles alone. Mental health challenges are real, but so is hope. Suicide is preventable. Through compassion, awareness, education, and timely intervention, we can create safe spaces where people feel heard, valued, and understood.

If you're struggling, please know this: your life has meaning, and support is available. If you're supporting someone who is struggling, never underestimate the power of your presence.

Together, we can build a culture where prioritizing mental health is normal, seeking help is a sign of strength, and hope is always within reach.

“I Dey for You!”

At Winpini Ocean of Hope, we're committed to empowering young people with the skills and support they need to thrive. Building resilience is key to preventing suicide and promoting good mental health. We believe in fostering open conversations, encouraging healthy coping mechanisms, and supporting social connections.

Let's work together to create a safe and supportive environment where young people can grow, learn, and flourish.

We can make a difference by providing mental health education and resources, encouraging inclusive and supportive communities, supporting youth-led initiatives and advocacy, and fostering partnerships with families, schools, and organizations.

“Let's invest in our youth and their mental health. Together, we can make a lasting impact. We dey for you!”

Statistics show that 12 people die by suicide daily in Canada, with males accounting for about three times more deaths than females. It's also a fact that youth form a large portion of these numbers. Suicide is not God's plan for anyone. He wants us to have life and have it more abundantly.

My passion for the future of young people in particular leaves me with no alternative but to add my voice and effort to the prevention of suicide. Indeed, like Apostle Paul, our call to anyone contemplating suicide is "do not harm yourself, for we are all here" (Acts 16:28) to help.
